Hanson Aggregate Dredgers Arco Dart and Arco Dee were fitted with RCS Alarm Monitoring and Control systems following Hanson’s Fleet Management’s decision to replace the ageing Racal Decca Isis system. RCS engineers surveyed the vessels to obtain the alarm system list and, following discussions with Fleet Management, produced a drop-in replacement system for Arco Dart within 12 weeks, avoiding additional vessel down-time. Arco Dee followed shortly thereafter.
Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency's ageing patrol vessels were surveyed by RCS engineers and over a period of several years 9 patrol vessels were upgraded. Obsolete control systems were removed for replacement with the latest RCS electronic Alarm, Monitoring and Control and Propulsion Control systems. These were multi-station systems to cover the Bridge, Flybridge and Machine Control Room and greatly extend the life of the vessels.
